Brilliant custom menus drelin, was wondering though, how easy is it to change the background image on all screens? Apologies I'm literally a day old in terms of multiavchd. Presumably you change the image in the .psd file? And then do you load the .psd file into your project in multiavchd?
Thanks again and sorry for being an annoying newbie!

You can modifiy as you want in PSD file (but caution with coordinate values for buttons graphics wi if you don't want have any mistakes with alignment).

Just save in JPEG file format for imort in Multiavchd (PSD file is avialables directly for multiavchd).

Hi there, just a quick question on the menu buttons, I noticed after testing with a trial of ArcSoft TMT that the actual buttons on the Drelin Pack 1 was a white arrow, that navigates (or hops) from Play, to Chapters, to Setup. Is this a standard for multiavchd or has it been customised? And if so is there any way to change the button icons to something else? Like a photoshopped .png image?

Thanks!

You can change colors or tranpasrency for buttons in multiavchd.
All buttons are "square" format in multiavchd and it's not possible to change the type of buttons (square).
The "arrows" or X (used for chapters menus) are graphics elements created by multiavchd (see menus button tab).
If you blank the shield for next / prev / close (< > x), you can replace it by graphic composition (see elements in the PSD files)

Sorry I'm not following, you say that

--All buttons are "square" format in multiavchd and it's not possible to change the type of buttons (square)---

But when I tested the output on ArcSoft TMT there was a white arrow button that moved (or seemingly moved) from play to chapters to setup.

Also, you say

----The "arrows" or X (used for chapters menus) are graphics elements created by multiavchd (see menus button tab).
If you blank the shield for next / prev / close (< > x), you can replace it by graphic composition (see elements in the PSD files)---

Whats "X"? The arrows were on the Main Menu screen, not the chapters menu. Lastly, not sure what you mean by "blank the shield"?

Apologies, just trying to understand the customisation.

If you're seeing an arrow it means that you're using [AVCHD strict] output mode. SETUP menu and TITLE LIST and POP-UP menus are not supported in this mode.

Please load some of the templates provided with multiAVCHD to understand better how it is working.

I loaded the template provided by Drelin, the Pack 1 template.

And yes I think I did use the Strict Mode, but not entirely sure what the difference is.

However in ArcSoft TMT the menu's were pop up I'm sure of it. Will have to retry and post examples.

Can you tell me the differences between strict and relaxed?

You confuse the terms... 'pop-up' menu is a menu which appears during the playback of a movie... (it is a blue line with few things to select)

You need AVCHD strict only if you're going to use the output with DVD media and Panasonic BD player. It creates other type of menus and I'd suggest to use other output modes.

Ok sorry your right regarding the pop up menu.

So lets say I'm planning on getting my mkv video source, creating main menu, chapter and setup backgrounds in photoshop, bringing into avchd and then outputting for burning to dvdr, so I can play on my bd player.

With that task in mind, what mode/settings should I be using?

And what will my menu buttons end up looking/acting like? Because I kind of like the arrow that moves from link to link that I've already seen, I dont think I'd want to have them as highlighted white squares.

You use [AVCHD relaxed] output or [Blu-ray]... it depends on your player model/make.

And the 'white' highlight can be changed to any color.. You have 2 options for IGS colors. Please do not post in this thread for such things, but use the general thread.
